TUSCALOOSA, Ala. | The Tuskegee University women's tennis team claimed their second win in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) play, defeating Stillman College 6-1 here Thursday afternoon.
Tuskegee (2-2) jumped ahead early by winning all three doubles points as they pulled away in number one and number three doubles, while the number two doubles team of
Navilla Paul and
Kimberly Bowen claimed an 8-6 win over Stillman's Nair Tolomen and Angela Corredor to sweep doubles.
In singles play, Tuskegee was able to win three of the four matches that were completed on the day. They got wins at number two from
Reicia North, at number five from Paul and at number six from
Taylor Wilson.
Tuskegee returns to action in the SIAC Roundup hosted by LeMoyne-Owen College February 25 in Memphis.
