Tuskegee Hosts Montevallo Tuesday night

The Golden Tigers play their final home game in November

TUSKEGEE, Ala. | The Tuskegee University Golden Tigers will take to the floor once again in the month of November, hosting the University of Montevallo on Tuesday night inside Chappie James Arena.

Tip is set for 7 pm.

Tuskegee (3-1) and the 20th-ranked Falcons of Montevallo (1-1) met less than a week ago at Trustmark Arena. In that game, the two teams battled, trading the lead several times, before the Golden Tigers were able to win the game on a Joshua Culver put back with just 1.2 seconds remaining on the clock.

The Golden Tigers have since beating Georgia Southwestern on Saturday behind the play of James Eads and Camden Foster, while Montevallo has been off since the loss Wednesday night.

This will be the sixth meeting between the two schools in the last three years, with Tuskege holding a 3-2 advantage in those games. The win by Tuskegee on the road last week was the first road win in the modest five-game stretch for either team.

Montevallo leads the all-time series 5-3, winning the only two games played prior to the 2012-13 season.

The Golden Tigers are led in scoring by Eads at 14.0 points per game, as the freshman has scored in double figures in three of his first four collegiate basketball games. Foster, a senior, is averaging nearly a double-double, as he is averaging 12.8 points per game and 7.8 rebounds per game.

Although they are the only two players in double figures for Tuskegee, sophomore Elijah McMillan is averaging 7.8 points per game. Senior Kevin May leads the offensive attack averaging 4.3 assists per game.

Meanwhile, Montevallo is lead by Terrell Lipkins at 18.5 points and 8.0 assists per game. Bryant Orange leads the team in rebounding at 9.5 rebounds per game.
