FRANKFORT, Ky. – One point made all the difference in the Golden Tigers' thrilling victory over divisional opponent Kentucky State, as they clinch a 49-48 win.
For the second consecutive game, Tuskegee entered the half time break up by one point, but with both teams scoring 27-points in the final half, that one was vital.
David Alexander and Kevin May each led the team with 10-points, Alexander also added five rebounds, one steal and one block; while May had five rebounds, two steals and one assist. Lorenzo Moore, James Vinson and Elijah McMillian each added seven-points, while Camden Foster paced the team with six rebounds. The Golden Tigers finished shooting 31.9 percent from the field and 72.2 from the free throw line. They finished with 34 rebounds, five assists, seven steals and three blocks.
Marcus Montague led KSU with 14 points, six rebounds and two blocks.
