Golden Tigers roll past Golden Bears

TUSKEGEE, Ala. (February 10, 2014) – Richard Dixon and Javier McKInney produced 23 points each to lift the Tuskegee University Golden Tigers (12-9, 9-3 SIAC) to a 93-64 victory over the visiting Miles College Golden Bears (2-20, 2-12 SIAC) last night at the James Center Arena.
 
Graham Olatunji scored 11 points and Elliot Dean dished out seven assists in the 29-point win over the Golden Bears.  Eleven of the 15 players Leon Douglas sent to the floor registered points, including nine each for Moriah Johnson and Camden Foster.  The Golden Tigers forced 22 turnovers and had 13 steals.
 
Michael Reynolds and Carlos Clayborn each scored 12 points for Miles.  Willie Gray chipped in 11 points.

The Golden Tigers outshot the Golden Bears 47.3 to 36.7 percent from the floor.
 
The 93 points scored by the Golden Tigers tied the third highest point-total for the year.
 
Tuskegee will face Miles at the Crossplex in Fairfield, Ala., on Saturday evening at 3:00 p.m.
