Box Score MONTEVALLO, Ala.--- The Tuskegee University Golden Tigers basketball team dropped a 75-55 decision to the Falcons of the University of Montevallo, moving to a 2-1 record on the season.
The contest began with a rapid back and forth pace, with the lead changing multiple times. The Falcons were able to take a commanding lead going into the halftime break after going on an 18-4 run. At the half the Golden Tigers were down 36-21. This series of plays made all the difference in the contest as the scoring for the second half was tight; as Tuskegee netted 34 and Montevallo tallied 39 points respectively.
James Vinson had an outstanding game with 14 points, while
Camden Foster finished with 11 points and three rebounds.
Kevin May added nine points, one rebound, and two assists in the contest.
Vladmir Tilme scored two points on the night, five rebounds and three assists.
The Golden Tigers will be back in action on Friday night when they travel to Charlotte, North Carolina to take on Johnson C. Smith and Virginia Union in the CIAA/SIAC Challenge. Tipoff on Friday is scheduled for 8:00 pm against JCSU and 1:30 pm, Saturday versus VVUU. Both tipoffs are eastern times. Live stats for each game will tentatively be available at hbculivestats.com.
