Heading into Saturday's game against Lane College, Tuskegee enters the fourth week of the 2013 season (and the opening week of conference play) unranked in both the D2Football.com poll and the American Football Coaches Association poll.  In the Coaches' Poll, Tuskegee earned 37 total votes to earn a hypothetical rank of 28th.  So, the Golden Tigers will need to win a few games in a row during the SIAC portion of the schedule in order to get back into the rankings.

The 35-13 loss to Winston-Salem State also knocked down the Golden Tigers a couple of pegs in the major HBCU rankings across the country.  Tuskegee is ranked #3 in Dr. Cavil's Mid-Major HBCU Top 10, falling behing Johnson C. Smith and #1 Winston-Salem State.  The Golden Tigers fell from fourth to seventh in the BoxToRow.com HBCU Media Top 10, and fell from first to third in the Heritage Sports Radio Network's Division II Top 10, after HSRN broadcasted the Cleveland Classic nationally just one week ago from FirstEnergy Stadium.

In the recent Black College Sports Page Top 10, Tuskegee is ranked seventh.  The Golden Tigers are sitting behind South Carolina State, and sit ahead of an old rival in eighth-ranked Alabama State.
