The Department of Athletics at Tuskegee University is formally inviting everyone in the Tuskegee community and surrounding areas to attend the upcoming game against Morehouse College.  As the NCAA Division II Game of the Week, the CBS Sports Network is broadcasting the upcoming game between the two long-time SIAC rivals.  This contest will also be the only nationally televised basketball game that will feature two SIAC schools this season.

The telecast will be broadcast on Saturday, January 4, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Central time/12:00 p.m. Eastern.  As a result of this momentous occasion, anyone that can make out to the Daniel 'Chappie' James Arena will be able to catch the game live absoultely free.  While the broadcast may begin at 11:00 a.m., tipoff of the game will take place at 11:05 a.m.

Morehouse wrapped up the 2013 calendar year with a 61-56 victory over Palm Beach Atlantic University to snap a three-game losing streak and improve to 3-5 overall heading into the contest.  Tuskegee is also 3-5, and has an opportunity to pick up their fourth win of the season against Florida Southern tomorrow afternoon.  Tuskegee is coming off of a 71-63 victory against Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla.

After the Morehouse game on the CBS Sports Network, there has been a time change scheduled for the first basketball doubleheader of the season on Monday, January 6.  The women and men were supposed to play Albany State University at times of 5:30 and 7:30 p.m., respectively.  But, those times have been recently changed to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

All other doubleheaders inside the Chappie James Center, beginning with the games against Benedict College the following Monday, are still set for 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.  The times changed with Albany State are just a one-time switch for logistical reasons.
