ATLANTA, Ga. __ The league office released the bracket for the 2024 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Championships, presented by Cricket and Tuskegee, the No. 4 seed in the West, will open play on Tuesday afternoon at Tiger Arena in Savannah, Georgia.
The Golden Tigers (13-14, 12-8 SIAC) are slated to compete at approximately 12 p.m. ET on Tuesday in the tourney's sixth game. They will meet the No. 5 seed from the East Allen (15-6, 21-6), with the winner moving on to the quarterfinal round to face No. 1E Savannah State on Thursday afternoon at 12 p.m.
Tuskegee is 1-0 vs. Allen, and 0-1 vs. Savannah State this season, while the program ended the regular season with a 96-69 road loss at Kentucky State on Monday evening.
TU will be competing for its 12th all-time SIAC Championship crown. The Golden Tigers took home the title last season after defeating Miles in the final, 72-65, for their first SIAC tournament crown since 2008. They also competed in the NCAA South Regional Tournament last season, falling in the first round to Tampa.
