TUSKEGEE, Ala. ^__ The Tuskegee Athletics Department participated in the Booker T. Washington Day of Service on Tuesday as they volunteered to help with a campus-wide cleanup.

The Golden Tigers teamed up with the university and Student Affairs to help execute the campus-wide cleanup, from 1 to 4 p.m. The day of service explores ways to continue the campus upkeep as well as provide experiences to develop character.

All 12 athletics programs were including in the cleanup, affording each the opportunity to engage with other students and faculty on campus.

"It was a great experience to work with the students, student-athletes, faculty, and staff on the Booker T. Washington Day of Service," Director of Athletics Reginald Ruffin said. "We always want to make sure that we are working together for the betterment of the university as a whole."
