The Tuskegee University men's and women's track & field teams have announced their upcoming 2019 outdoor track & field schedule. Counting the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship (SIAC), the men's team will compete in six invitationals with the women appearing in seven.

The season gets underway Feb. 23 in Columbus, Ga, at the Cougar Invitational in Columbus, Ga. One week later, the teams will make a return trip to the State of Georgia for the Savannah State Relays. The Tigers, most recently a member of the Mideastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), will soon make a return back to the SIAC.

The Golden Tigers will compete in their first invite in the State of Alabama March 22-23 at the University of Montevallo and its annual Falcon Classic. The ensuing week, its back to Georgia for the Emory Classic, hosted by Emory University located in Atlanta.

The women's team heads to Jacksonville State for the Girls Day Out Invite April 6 at 9:00 a.m. to end the regular season before both units compete at the 2019 SIAC Championships at Rock Hill, S.C.

Last year the women's team finished fourth overall while the men came in sixth place at the conference championship, an improvement of four spots for the women and two spots on the men's side.
