TUSKEGEE, Ala. -The Tuskegee University athletics department will hold a reunion, honoring the 1967 and 2007 football teams, as well as its coaches, managers and trainers, on October 28, while also celebrating the 2017 homecoming game against Central State.

Several members of the undefeated, once-tied Golden Tigers of 1967 and the 2007 Sheridan Broadcasting Network (SBN) Black College National Championship teams will be recognized prior to kickoff.

Coached by Leroy V. Smith, the then-Tuskegee Institute won eight straight after a season-opening 7-7 tie with Alabama A&M and won the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference B Division championship.

Athletics Director Willie Slater and his staff will hold a reception inside of Logan Hall hours before kickoff.

The 2007 SIAC Championship team capped off their undefeated season with a 58-51 battle over Virginia Union in the Pioneer Bowl. That same season, Tuskegee also became the first and only historically Black College or university to win 600 career football games and is one of only two on the NCAA Division II level to achieve that mark.
