TUSKEGEE, Ala. | Tuskegee's second home game of the season against Winston-Salem State will be delivered live on ESPN3 on September 19 inside Cleve L. Abbott Memorial Alumni Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1 pm.
This will be the sixth all-time meeting between the two schools, each holding three victories in the series. Winston-Salem State won the first meeting of the series in 1999, and have since won the last two – including a 24-13 victory last season in North Carolina. The Golden Tigers reeled off three consecutive victories in the series from 2000 until 2002.
Tuskegee finished last season 9-3 overall (7-0 SIAC) and claimed the SIAC Championship over Albany State. The Golden Tigers qualified for the NCAA Division II playoffs for the second consecutive year, falling in the first round to West Georgia. Meanwhile, Winston-Salem State finished the season 9-2 (7-0 CIAA), falling to Virginia State in the CIAA Championship game.
