Gilbert was chosen Honorable Mention All-America by BOXTOROW after he was named First Team All-SIAC and Second Team D2CCA All-Region. The senior finished the year with a career-high 20 receptions for 394 yards - good for third on the team in both categories. He also recorded five touchdown receptions, including a career-long 75 yard reception against Virginia State in the regular season finale.
