Senior Kajuanna Rivers, a 5-4 guard on the Tuskegee University women’s basketball team, was named the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of February 9-15.
The Decatur, Ga., native averaged 16 points, three rebounds, 4.5 assists and five steals as the SIAC West Division leading Tigerettes (14-8, 10-3 SIAC) won two games during the week. Tuskegee defeated Miles 71-60 at the James Center Arena on Monday night and won over Miles on Saturday night at the Bill Harris Arena in Birmingham, Ala., 59-52.
