Williams placed in a pair of events, including winning the shot put event with a throw of 13.57m (44-06.25). Williams recorded the mark on his first throw and finished just 0.02m ahead of Cumberlands' Cameron Smoak for the win. He also finished sixth in the discus competition with a distance of 36.12m (118-06).
