Woodside was named the SIAC Player of the Week as he went 6-for-8 in his first collegiate appearance on Friday against Morehouse College in a doubleheader. The freshman finished the weekend hitting .750 with four runs scored and five runs batted in. He also added a pair of homeruns and slugged 1.500 in the two games, while recording an on-base percentage of .750 with a pair of stolen bases.
 
In the opener, Woodside went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a pair of runs batted in as he connected on his first collegiate homerun in a 9-7 loss to Morehouse. In the nightcap, Woodside was 4-for-4 with three runs scored and three runs batted in. He added his second homerun and stole two bases in a 12-2 victory.
