AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Tuskegee baseball team surrendered a minimum of two runs in five consecutive innings including five in the eighth falling to Miles College 15-2 in second round action of the SIAC Baseball Tournament.
In a late game that started Friday night and ended Saturday morning, both teams were scoreless through three innings until Peyton Logan scored on a sacrifice fly. Damien Williams singled up the middle scoring Alex Bentley to take a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning.
Jordyn Thomas who picked up the loss pitched five innings, struck out three batters and allowed seven runs off of nine hits for the Golden Tigers. He fell to 6-4 on the season.
Evan Kearse finished 2-of-3 at the plate for TU with a run scored and one RBI on the day.
Ryan Green was also 2-of-4 with an RBI. Tuskegee was only able to manufacture nine hits scoring a pair of runs on the evening.
