Mascot Tryouts Set for August 20

Tryout Dates:  August 20, 2015; 6:00pm-until - Chappie James Arena (Gym Floor)

The tryout session for school mascot is open to both males and females.  The mascot is expected to be highly energetic, friendly, display good sportsmanship at all times and keep the fans involved in supporting the team.  The tryout session is open for public viewing following cheerleader tryouts.

Former TU Student-Athletes (2014-2015)New to TU Athletics (2015-2016)

Skill

Prepare a 2-3 minute routine/skit displaying your creativity and talents (ability to engage the crowd, dance, humor, etc.).  Your presentation should be entertaining and crowd pleasing, as well as appropriate.  Bring your own music and props (if necessary).** Students must be comfortable with any tumbling skills they attempt to perform on a basketball court without a spotter. **

Attire

All interested students must wear a t-shirt, shorts, socks and flat-bottomed athletic shoes with laces.  The shirt and shorts should not be excessively loose or tight.  No jewelry, tanks, biker shorts or leggings/tights (without proper cover).
